Anthony Reardon

Founder of ERM international

Specialises in risk transformation and empowering organisations through greater alignment of risk and strategy.

Anthony is the founder and managing director of ERM International. 

He has more than 20 years’ experience working in Australian and internationally. He was awarded Australasia’s Risk Manager of the Year in 2018 for excellence in risk management and contribution to the profession.

Highlights

  • Head of risk for BHP, leading a global transformation program in response to BHP’s 2015 Samarco disaster.
  • Led remediation of the risk team and risk practices for a multi-billion-dollar engineering project following significant failings while living in Canada/US.
  • Led design and implementation of a global enterprise risk solution while living in Singapore.
  • Led a catastrophic risk management program in response to multiple fatality events in 2008. The success of this program has resulted in the client remaining fatality free to this day.
  • Chief risk officer in insurance, under prudential regulatory standards.

Tanvir Haque

Director Middle East

Specialises in leading and managing strategic growth in global markets, and transforming risk and resilience in large and complex organisations.

With an international career spanning more than 25 years, Tanvir leads ERM International’s commercial strategy and in-country project execution in the United Arab Emirates and across the GCC.

  • Deep knowledge of managing emerging risks by driving the process for risk identification, mitigation and management, and prioritising a strong organisational risk culture.
  • Experience holding multi-million dollar P&L accountability, and executing commercial strategy with regard for operational costs and risks.

Specialises in incorporating principles of psychology to inform strategic decision-making amidst volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. 

Bronwyn is a highly skilled and accredited risk management professional with over two decades of leadership experience in corporate risk and resilience teams; she has effectively partnered with executive leaders across diverse industries and global markets.

  • Head of risk for Australia’s largest retailer, played a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s strategic planning, sustainability initiatives, and transformative change programs. Bronwyn successfully implemented a Board-approved risk appetite framework and streamlined governance protocols, contributing to enhanced decision-making processes and improved reporting mechanisms.
  • Head of risk and resilience for a critical infrastructure energy company, spearheading a comprehensive risk cultural uplift program designed to align with a significant strategic and operational change program within the organisation.

Richard Stanwix

Richard has been a risk and resilience practitioner for more than 30 years, and has worked with multiple Fortune 100 or major listed firms across eleven countries.

  • Global ‘catastrophic risk’ lead for one the world’s largest diversified mining companies. Over a two-year global project, Richard re-set the organisation’s approach to the way it assessed and managed its largest and most complex risks, from operational to geopolitical.
  • Led delivery of all risk advisory services to the Commonwealth of Australia including specific projects with defence, health, environment, energy, maritime, aviation, health, infrastructure and more.

Rob has more than 25 years of experiencing working at the intersection of people, culture, and risk management, supporting organisational transformation across industries including financial services, mining, pharmaceuticals, media and technology.

  • Led design and deployment of organisation-wide risk culture assessment and monitoring, engaging executive leaders to deliver broad-based behavioural change at one of the world’s largest energy and resources companies.

Michal Kozikowski

Head of Technical Risk

Specialises in tailings, water and closure risk management, and governance and assurance.

Michal is a technical water and risk expert with more than 23 years’ global water, mining and resources experience. He leads ERM International’s tailings and liquid containment risk management service.

  • Held the risk lead role in a global tailings taskforce, conducting in-situ reviews of TSF risk management and governance effectiveness from inception to closure.
  • Worked as a global lead at an international mining company, driving the integration of pragmatic risk management with water and closure disciplines, including fit-for-purpose assurance.
  • Spent 10-plus years in various roles focused on effective water management for the mining industry in Australia.
  • Previously worked in the contaminated land and groundwater industry in the UK as a water remediation and risk assessment expert.
  • Provided geoscience consulting services to the oil and gas industry throughout Poland, Libya, Congo and Italy.

Senior Risk Specialist

Specialises in transforming risk maturity, risk effectiveness and assurance.

Kimberley is a risk, compliance and safety specialist with more than 15 years’ experience across a range of industries and projects, driven by a passion for managing risk and converting opportunity at all levels of an organisation.

Highlights

  • Previously worked in senior risk and safety roles across Australia, including with Brisbane Airport Corporation, PCYC Queensland, Queensland Airports Limited, Queensland University of Technology and University of Canberra.
  • Advanced knowledge of designing and operationalising enterprise risk management frameworks and reporting tools to support strategic decision making.
  • Experience working with Boards and Board Committees as a key advisor on a range of risk topics, including risk appetite, business impact reviews on critical risks, and emerging and future risks.
  • Regularly seconded to client sites - both in-office and in the field - to support risk management capability improvement, execution and integrity.
